Mac-Sys Ltd – Founded by me June 2003 and still going strong, I’m no longer involved day to day but I still have a majority interest. It’s the only Authorised Service Provider in Northern Ireland. We specialise in providing bespoke IT solutions and maintenance contracts for Mac- and iPad-based businesses. We get a lot of folk who come to us after another company has dismantled their laptop and was unable to put it back together. We’re also the quickest place to get your Mac repaired. Conquest Dynamics – This is a brand new venture that I’m trying to start but, due to my day job, I’m unable to apply for most of the development funds on offer. We’re going to develop touch-platform strategy games. I’m happy to talk about the idea but really I’m looking to build a team to work with me. Digital Circle – I get to spend a lot of time with new and interesting creative companies and see what ways I can help them – whether that is navigating the sometimes clandestine processes of public sector funding and procurement or maybe just putting them in contact with some other smart, creative people that I’ve met over the last few years. I’m also involved in a couple of funding panels and we run “catalytic” projects for some government departments. There are few things more fun than working with people smarter than you.
