£3.5K for a cable? Running at what speed?

The only issue I would see is that there are two countries involved. Michael in my office licensed at the 5GHz spectrum (for about £60 per year) for a WISP he set up for last mile access because BT expanded their reach. He had, at one point, a Multi-Mbit wireless link between Airport Road West and Carrickfergus.

I actually have access to quite a bit of space near the pop just over the border near Monaghan, as you said last mile is the killer. I actually have a number of people who want llu type speeds right in the middle of the Armagh, Monaghan, castleblayney triangle and would love a cable to go to the inbetween exchange or to be able to send wireless from a pop to the middle of that triangle, sadly wimax spectrum is out.
I did get a quote for £3.5 to get a cable from Armagh 7 miles, which I thought was pretty good.

I'd love to setup a nonprofit to offer wireless from kelvin pops, but capital and lack of wireless spectrum might be the killer.
