		<description>I keep meaning to reply to this - but the John Scalzi link means my thoughts on the matter are already dealt with. One thing Scalzi doesn&#039;t mention is that even if you have 1,000 true fans willing to shell out $100 each, you still have to create $100 worth of something for them to shell out for, every single year. (And if it&#039;s a rehash of stuff then they&#039;re unlikely to be interested, although how many versions of bladerunner are there now?)

(I think I may have about four true fans, but that might be only cus I produce so little through the year that I&#039;m cheap to be a fan of :)
