Hi MJ, just stumbled across your blog.
There was a bar in Ballynahinch (the White Horse I think) where all the Ballykinlar squaddies used to drink. It would’ve been a dissappointing night if that didn’t happen!
The odd thing being that when I was in the TA, we went on exercise to Scotland and one of the nights there was a piss-up in a bar and when they guys returned to the billets, one bloke urinated on another bloke.
These were university students so it’s not a ‘smarts’ thing, just a culture thing.

Similar things happen on rugby tours too.
perhaps a study into the effects of testosterone mixed with alcohol on brain activity.
there are loads of chaps I would like to piss on but unfortunately I am never drunk in a barracks with them
