Geek Dinners: start something.
January 31st, 2007 | by mj |Damien writes about the need for a Geek Dinner in Limerick after Paul Walsh opens an invite to anyone Thursday night in Dublin.
Where are the geek dinners in Belfast?
We’ve had coffee meetings - under the auspices of CocoaHeads for a few months - but there needed to be more general geekishness, more general technology and not just for Mac coders.
I want to talk to Linux nerds, BSD beasties, Telecoms dweebs, Windows freaks, Web geeks, RSS dorks and Mac zealots.

It’s not exactly a dinner, but BLUG are having a keysigning/installfest on Thurs 26 April 19.30 at the Ark internet cafe/hostel at the corner of Uni Avenue and Botanic.
Check out the link above - both the mailing list & IRC are pretty active

Thanks for the head sup Steev but to be honest it’s only part of the equation. My last memory of blug wasn’t particularly positive as it’s a political rather than a technology group.
